Overview
The Midwest Magnetic Fields (MMF) series of meetings began as a local Midwest event that has since evolved into an international gathering. The workshop typically brings together approximately 100 experts in magnetic fields and turbulence from around the world. It provides a forum for sharing the latest research and developments in these fields while fostering collaborations between researchers. The program features invited talks, contributed presentations, and poster sessions, with a strong emphasis on discussion as a vital component of the meetings.
What is MMF about?
Usually the MMF meeting includes the following topics
Magnetic field measurements
MHD turbulence: theory, simulations and observations
Processes involved magnetic field, including star formation, FRBs, accretion disk, etc.
Cosmic ray acceleration and propagation
Dynamo and magnetic reconnection
